In December Junior Infants worked together to discuss and form sets of 2.We spoke about why items belonged together,discussed the various sizes of the objects and put them in suitable pairs.
In December the children worked in pairs and groups and played Christmas board games in Irish
Santa pays a visit to Junior Infants and everyone is very excited
During November and December the children brought in family photos,their favourite book and their favourite toy.They stood in front of the class and spoke clearly about what they were holding.The children in the audience asked questions in order to get more information.
In SPHE we having been learning relaxation techniques.The children here are practicing ‘bubble breathing’ ‘We then tried this slow breathing after P.E on mats in the hall.The children felt their heartbeat after their  excercise and then used their bubble breathing to slow it down.

In SESE we have been discussing what different items in our environment are made from.We looked at lots of photos and sorted them into groups of materials.
During November junior did lots of work on big/small,tall/short,wise/narrow,rough/smooth. They used concrete materials to investigate how ‘wide’/‘tall’ objects in the classroom are.They worked with a partner and chatted about what they found out.
During Aistear children continued to measure,build,play with the train table,visit the library and even make the angel Gabriel During November junior did lots of work on big/small,tall/short,wise/ narrow,rough/smooth.
